When I get a moment I love the movies. I’ll share some of my thoughts on films, TV shows, or series I enjoy.

Entourage – Season 5 & Season 6 – DRAMA/Comedy – 3 out of 3 Stars - Entourage is an addictive pleasure to watch. The characters now have several seasons under their belts and it’s impossible to tell that it is even an actor playing the characters.
Entourage weaves tons of true star cameos with Entourage actors and some scenes leave you wondering if producer, Harvey Weinstein is really like his scene at Sundance or if Bob Sagat hangs with pros. They are all so real in their roles as an actor and his posse interacting with Hollywood. I can’t seem to get enough of agent, Ari (Jeremy Piven) Gold who nails his role as an overbearing wheeler-dealer agent for top actor, Vince (Adrian Grenier) Chase.
Jeremy Piven has been nominated 4 times for this role and won 3 times 2006-2008. He was nominated 6 times (2005-2010) for Golden Globes and won in 2008.
My favorite scene? His character Ari (based on real-life Hollywood agent Ari Emanuel who was ranked as the 4th smartest guy in the world in 2007) and his wife in a therapist’s office. Ari is trying to borrow $12 Million from his wife, so he can buy a competitive agency for $75 Million. The underlying reason he wants to buy the agency? Revenge. There are two guys he wants to sqash there. It’s hilarious and not to be missed.
Johnny (Kevin Dillon) Drama is fabulous as the B actor brother who has gone primetime and Eric (Kevin Connelly) Murphy wins our hearts as the caring ‘try to do the right thing’ manager and Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) breaks out of his “go-for” role to win Jamie Lynn Siegler’s love in Season 6.
Haven’t seen any Entourage? Hop on Amazon.com and start with Season 1 and learn all the characters. You’ll want to catch every season. Sexual content, nudity, and language, but its all so entwined with the story, it makes them more alive.

The Blind Side – DRAMA - 3 out of 3 Stars - Finally got around to seeing the movie that everyone has loved. I loved it too. The message is definitely that we are one people. Sandra Bullock plays this movie with such strength and character that many of the scenes demand that we search for any bigot voice that we may have and get rid of it.

After.Life – HORROR – 3 out of 3 Stars - Not since 1979′s Phantasm have I been so afraid of a mortician. Cristina Ricci is extraordinary in this death with a twist horror story. I always believe Liam Neeson in his roles because he truly commits and his face shows his conviction with every word and every camera angle. Bravo to the writers: Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo (director also), Paul Vosloo, & Jakub Korolczuk.
WARNING: This haunting movie is not for everyone. If you have just lost someone close to you, don’t watch this movie. But if you want a very provocative horror film with intelligence, then this is your movie.
Coming next…Californication
